We are thrilled to announce that Kristen Bos has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Indigenous Science and Technology Studies at UTM and will be stepping into the role of Co-Director of the TRU. Kristen has already brought so much to the TRU through her leadership as lab manager over the the last three years.
As Co-Director, together with Michelle Murphy, Kristen’s leadership at the TRU will continue to build our strength in Indigenous Science and Technology Studies, co-lead the work of our Environmental Data Justice Lab’s focus on land protection research and tools with a focus on Chemical Valley and the Great Lakes, and guide our relationships and collaborations, such as through the Technoscience Salon.
The TRU is very fortunate to have Kristen take up this leadership role. We look forward to celebrating Kristen’s ongoing commitment to building positive and meaningful research environments for Indigenous, Black, POC, community, and 2SLGBTQ+ researchers at the University of Toronto. Her graduate appointment will be in the Women and Gender Studies Institute. Congratulations Professor Kristen Bos!
