Institute: Technoscience Research Unit and Catalyst: Feminism, Theory, Technoscience
Term: Short-term duration for approximately 60 hours
Hourly rate: $50/ hour
Description of Duties:
Under the general direction of the Co-Lead Editors for Catalyst: Feminism, Theory, Technoscience, the incumbent will be responsible for designing and developing a new web design for the journal. Qualifications include a general understanding and knowledge of front-end development, proficiency using CSS, knowledge of accessible design principles, graphic design skills, and strong communication skills. Experience working for a publication platform, especially Open Journal Systems (OJS), is an asset. Catalyst: Feminism, Theory, and Technoscience is a peer-reviewed academic journal for feminist science and technology (STS) scholarship, with its editorial node based at the University of Toronto’s Technoscience Research Unit.
Qualifications:
Web development skills, knowledge of CSS, knowledge of accessible design principles
